This mint condition pot features a distinctive speckled cream glaze with earthy, brown-toned abstract slip brushwork.
The piece is hand-thrown stoneware, often signed with an impressed "DG" mark near the base.
This studio pottery jar was produced circa late 1970s to the 1990s.Donald Glanville (born 1937) established his workshop in Settle in 1977. Most of his distinctive cream and brown stoneware pieces were thrown and fired throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
